Council supports extended swimming days

Great news for the local swimming pool.

Congratulations to the Regional Council of Goyder (RCOG) and the local swimming pool team for embracing the community’s desire to have the swimming pool open for a longer period.

Decided at the RCOG meeting last Tuesday, the Eudunda Swimming Pool will remain open until the 28th April.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the residents of the Southern Goyder region to take up the generous offer and use the pool.

The girls would like to point out the swimming pool is heated, and that they are keen to have people use it as often as possible.

Additionally, the girls at the pool are keen to gain some sponsorship or grants to fund equipment for the pool and especially the gym, so that the community can continue using the complex during the time the swimming is closed.

It was in fact why the slogan ‘Eudunda be Active’ was penned, to express that the ‘Swimming Centre’ was about ‘being active’ rather than just swimming.

Thank you must go to the Councillors at the local council for being supportive of the community to ‘be’Active’.
