Pool Party 15th March 2014 from 1:30pm

To celebrate the last day of the Eudunda Swimming Pool being open for the year, on 15th March, Joanna has proposed an informal “Pool Party”, She already has a DJ lined up and a price slashing frenzy on remaining stock in the kiosk!!! After putting out an invitation on Facebook “What do you think Eudunda?” The consensus was that the last day – Sunday 15th was the best. So get along and have some fun.

Just as an extra note – last year the pool had an extension of closing to the end of the month. This year it will not be happening as the pool need some maintenance work on ’tiles’ etc which can only be done straight after the closing. SO LETS GET IN ON SUNDAY AND CELEBRATE!

“Eudunda Be Active” 2015.

An announcement of a new program is imminent. (early Nov). * Note that things can change – this is the information we know at this stage.

Swimming Pool  2014

Great News for the Eudunda Swimming Pool! The Swimming season has been extended after the local community attended a council meeting at Burra to persuade the Councillors of the communities desire to use the heated swimming pool later than the official closing (9th March) and the new closing date for this season will be March 31st. This is fantastic news, especially as the Eudunda Swimming Pool is heated, and with the entrance fee of just $2.00 it is fantastic value. “Eudunda Be Active” 2014.  5 months ago ECBAT requested that the Eudunda Swimming Pool be made available for holding sessions outside of normal swimming pool hours for special exercise classes such as for ‘the older generation’ (as Maureen Stephens, the coordinator of that group so eloquently called the group in fun, ‘The Crinkley Wrinkley’ group) and other groups such as Mum’s who can’t get to swim or exercise in normal pool hours. Negotiations with Council were quite slow and with only 6 weeks left (see story about extended time below) the community was missing out on use of the pool for this year. ECBAT & the community took action! At the recent Regional Council of Goyder monthly meeting Councillors were presented with information and photos of the Eudunda Swimming Pool in use out of swimming pool hours for the “Eudunda Be Active” group.  It was thankfully enough evidence that the pool would be used well.

Eudunda Swimming Pool Aqua Aerobics in 2013

Eudunda Swimming Pool Aqua Aerobics in 2013

The Council has now agreed to ECBAT hiring out the pool so that the “Aqua Aerobics”  can be run and hopefully more in the 2014-2015 season. Aqua Aerobics Classes: Tuesday & Thursday from 9am Approximate 40 min per session, run by Steve Wegener (qualified in therapeutic and beneficial exercise). ALL WELCOME Enquiries either at the swimming pool (Steve is the manager). or Maureen Stephens on 08 8581 1540 Help keep our swimming pool in use and get fit and have fun at the same time.

Tourists Welcome to use the Eudunda Swimming Pool! If you are travelling in the region and wish to have a quick dip in a pool, or spend the afternoon resting at the pool, our Eudunda Swimming Pool could well be the perfect place for you to visit. With an entrance fee of just $2.00 it would have to be one of the cheapest relaxing afternoons on offer as well. Currently open from Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holiday and School Holiday) session times will be between the hours of 3.30pm and 8.30pm (temperature permitting – over 28 degrees – see more below). Weekends, Public Holiday and School Holiday session times are between the hours of 1.30pm and 8.30pm (temperature permitting).
