Look forward to catching up with you all at the Eudunda Christmas Street Party & Parade (click here) tonight. Parade starts from Landmark at 6pm. At this very time 5pm – 6pm Sunday 20th November many South Australian’s will be watching the very last 1 hr special of Postcard’s SA. It is sad to be watching the very last episode, Postcard’s SA and the small but very efficient team – we of South Australia and of Eudunda wish to thank that team, for all the fabulous memories, the views and stories that you have given us all over the past 16 years. From Eudunda’s point of view, we thank you all and especially “Mr SA” Keith Conlon for sharing our Eudunda stories of local Author Colin Thiele and his stories, in several episodes over your time. As well our district of Eudunda was also lucky enough to be featured in one of the Postcard’s SA books. For this web editor (PeteH) I was also lucky enough to meet Keith, Ron & Lisa when I went to buy copies of that book for our family and for the local Eudunda Family Heritage Gallery (they also kindly signed those copies). To all of the SA Postcard’s team who have kept SA thrilled with over 3,000 stories of SA told, it is one of sadness to see your last show, yet joy to relive some of your many wonderful shows. THANK YOU! and may you all find other great projects to work on (as I am sure you all will). Peter Herriman On 20th Nov 2011 Robertstown will celebrate 140 years of settlement. Congratulations to all of those residents in the Robertstown area. We hope you have a great day. Robertstwon will have a Strawberry Fete on Nov 19th 2011, Stalls for Everybody Licenced Bar available and a live band ‘Ennovy’ will be there Enjoy Local Barperson, Yo – aka Johanna Schick is busy raising funds for the Leukaemia Foundation through the U.G.L.Y. bartender for the year competition. The first fundraiser is to see how many donations she can get toward dyeing her hair blue for a week. Yo plans to start off with 1 streak per donation until hopefully her head is covered. Yo is collecting donations at her work – the Eudunda Hotel Motel. If you can’t make it to the pub, you can still contribute by donating online at: Yo is currently organising events and raffles etc throught November 2011. Any person or business interested in donating goods or service to be auctioned or raffled to raise funds can call or phone the pub or contact Yo via the UGLY website to discuss this. Yo says, G’day, check it out at Eudunda Show website Eudunda Golf Club Secretary Tim Knight put himself through what he called his toughest golfing ordeal ever last Sunday by playing 100 holes in just under 7 hours to raise money for cancer research. Tim’s intent was to find and test an event that no other Australian golf club has or would not even consider holding.
